Keep the Weather at Bay with Great Outerwear

Enjoying the outdoors is a lot more likely if we’re not too cold, too hot or too wet. Great outerwear is a must.

We have an amazing selection of high-tech outerwear available these days. There’s a wide range of styles and colors, and quite a price range too.

I’m sure you know the big brands like Columbia, The North Face, Marmot, Patagonia. Then there are the big catalog retailers with their own selection — L.L. Bean, Lands’ End, Eddie Bauer, Woolrich, Cabela’s, Duluth Trading Co.

I don’t know how you shop, but I like a deal! I hardly ever pay full price, because I’ve learned I don’t have to.

But I also like quality. I’m spoiled now — I know there’s windproof, wind-resistant, water-resistant and waterproof outerwear to be had. That’s what I want to spend my money on.

Not only does it work better, it lasts longer and fits better.

I don’t shop for my outwear at department stores, unless they carry a quality brand, like one of those mentioned above. “City” coats and most designer brands just don’t cut it for outdoor adventure!

I’ll be reviewing the outwear I personally own and wear. I’d also like your suggestions from you — what do you own, wear and love?

In seeing items reviewed here, even if you don’t end up with exactly the same item, it’ll give you a good idea of what to look for and the price range you can expect.
